About us
Our story is rooted in our Colombian heritage.
Enrique’s great great grandfather, Don Heraclio Uribe Uribe, founded the municipality of Sevilla, Valle del Cauca, which is largely considered the coffee capital of Colombia. His family’s love for coffee started then, and when Enrique was just five years old, he learned how to dry coffee with his great grandmother Isabel Uribe and his grandmother Matilde Rivera at their farm, Hacienda El Paraiso. Maria’s family has been buying coffee since 1979, thanks to her father Carlos’s entrepreneurial spirit at the age of 15, and her grandparents’ vision of starting their family’s restaurant business.
Our values are centered around supporting small and medium independent farmers, and creating a more equitable coffee industry for everyone.
We believe in empowering our customers to make a difference with every sip. this is why we created our farmer dividend coffee™ program.
This effort underscores our commitment to sustainability and fair compensation. We partner directly with small and medium independent farmers in Colombia to source the highest quality coffee beans while ensuring they receive additional compensation through our Farmer Dividend Program and tips from our customers, without any large organization interfering in the process, and with full transparency 100% of the time.
Under this program, 2% of the revenue generated from the sale of our coffee is returned to the farmers in the form of a dividend.
Also, customers can choose to tip the farmer or farmers who harvested their coffee, when subscribing or making a purchase. Contributing these dividends directly to the farmers ensures they’re able to invest in themselves and their communities, and improve their livelihoods.
